Ideal for experienced flameworkers looking to expand into lathe work, this class focuses on using the lathe as a tool for symmetry, control, and scale—perfect for making tubes, vessels, and hollow forms with clean lines and even walls.
What you’ll learn:

• Safety and setup for lathe-based glasswork
• Operation and control of the glass lathe
• Forming and shaping cylindrical and hollow forms
• Lathe-assisted glass blowing techniques
• Necking, flaring, and opening forms
• Seals, joins, and working with tubing
• Tips for consistent wall thickness and proportional shaping
