Curious about working with molten glass? This beginner-friendly class at Sage Studios is the perfect place to start! You’ll be introduced to the art of flameworking by creating your very own glass gummy bear using a custom bear-shaped graphite mold.
This hands-on session is designed for complete beginners or those with minimal torch experience. With only two students per class, you’ll receive personalized guidance and plenty of time on the torch to get comfortable with the tools and materials.
What you’ll learn:

• Introduction to torch setup and safety
• Basic borosilicate glass handling
• Using a graphite mold to shape molten glass
• Working with color and clarity for a candy-like finish
• Finishing and annealing your piece for durability

You’ll leave with one or more colorful glass gummy bears, a solid foundation in flameworking basics, and the confidence to continue exploring the medium.
