Flameworking Together: A Creative Glass Experience for Two
Borosilicate Glass | Hands-On Session Class Size: Max 1 couple (2 students)
Whether you’re planning a unique date night, a mother-daughter outing, or a fun experience with a friend, this special flameworking session at Sage Studios is all about making memories—and beautiful glass art—together. In this beginner-friendly, 2-hour class, each of you will choose a small project to create: a heart pendant, a leaf sculpture, or a gummy bear made with a custom graphite mold. You’ll learn the basics of working with molten glass while enjoying the process side by side. What you’ll learn:
Torch safety and an intro to borosilicate glass
How to shape and sculpt glass using tools and molds
Adding color and character to your piece
Finishing techniques for wearable or display-ready art
This class is perfect for anyone new to glass and looking for a meaningful, hands-on experience with someone they care about. You’ll leave with finished pieces (after kiln time) and a shared memory that lasts far beyond the flame.
Class Length: About 1.5 hours Ages: 16+ No experience necessary!
Classes are held on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. To register, contact Sage at 315-576-2412 or email [email protected]
